About StandardC

The StandardC Credential™ empowers a network of banking & financial service providers to transform risk & compliance for cannabis banking, business banking, insurance, lending, payroll, and more.

StandardC was founded in 2018 by Richard Laiderman, Robert Mann, and Pooya Sarabandi PhD. Their mission; to transform how underserved businesses obtain access to financial services.

StandardC began by licensing its software to banks and credit unions to enable these institutions to bank the underserved cannabis industries. Since 2020, StandardC has expanded to serve financial service providers, including insurers, lenders, loan guarantors, payroll providers, armored transport companies, legal services, and more.

In 2022, StandardC launched the StandardC Credential™, which enables any business, including cannabis (aka marijuana), to create a portable digital business identity that can be shared within StandardC’s network of banking and financial service providers. This included an expansion into loan underwriting to connect borrowers, lenders, loan guarantors, and auditors all within one platform.

Today, StandardC licenses its software platform to automate and streamline business underwriting and onboarding, license monitoring, transaction monitoring, and audit and compliance management tools. StandardC also provides advisory and consulting services to financial institutions seeking to build, scale and enhance compliance programs.
